Description:

Provide leadership to fight the stigma associated with chemical dependency through public and policy education, liaison with the professional and recovering communities and objective information, referral and linkage for those in need.

Alcohol and other drug prevention/education to the general community and to schools. Consultation regarding program development and case specific issues; information & referral for individuals abusing alcohol or other drugs and their significant others for inpatient/outpatient treatment or counseling; self-help groups (AA, NA, Alanon, Nar-Anon, ACOA, Parents Anonymous); Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Prevention Education program and Parent Support Group; Parenting programs: Parent Forums, Strengthening Families & Safe Homes.

Public policy advocacy on alcohol/other drug issues; Student Assistance Prevention Counseling Program; resource library on alcohol & other drug prevention, intervention (audio and books). Development of prevention/resiliency skills, including: Social Skills Program for students in grades 3, 4, 5 & 6; Reconnecting Youth in high school; Strengthening Families-parenting skills.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.
