Description:

Provides a team comprised of a Job Developer/Sr. Employment Specialist, Employment Specialists/Job Coaches, Certified Benefits Advisers, Peer Bridgers, Peer Specialists and Rehabilitation Practitioners. Offers a range and continuum of vocational rehabilitation services that assist customers to choose, get and maintain preferred competitive employment positions.

Programs include:

Rapid Employment: Assistance to find a competitive job.

Supported Employment: Assistance to choose, get and maintain a competitive job with on-the-job and off-the-job support and assistance.

Ticket to Work: Very flexible employment services designed to meet your individual employment needs. Choose from a range of services listed in our other programs. Typically individuals in the Ticket to Work program have a work history and desire to work approximately 25+ hours/week.

Services also include Job Search, Placement and Support, Resume and Cover Letter Development, Interview Preparation and Practice, Skill Development, Work Readiness Classes and Benefits Advisement.

Offers Peer Specialist Program at Leroy Manor. Designed to provide outreach & peer support to individuals with mental health conditions in a residential setting.

Peer Bridger support services for individuals who are coming out of Rochester Psychiatric Center or other Article 28 hospitals as well as individuals diagnosed with a mental health condition that are residing in the community to link to and engage with needed resources/supports. Peer Bridger services are unique in that they are one-on-one services meeting with a peer to work on goal setting, budgeting, accessing community supports and other services/information.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.

Eligibility:

Genesee County adults 18 years & older diagnosed with severe & persistent mental illness who reside in Genesee County. Recipients of services may be diagnosed with co-occurring disorders.

For the Supported Employment (serving only Genesee County) and Rapid Placement programs (serving Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming Counties) the individual must be open with ACCES-VR (Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation): we will assist with linkage.

For TTW must be receiving SSI and/or SSDI benefits and residing in Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, Wyoming or Monroe Counties.

For Peer Bridger: must be returning to reside in Genesee or Orleans County.
